Day 1/5

Here are 150 books recommendation free for you :)

Reading the “right” book is enjoyable.

What does it mean by the “right” book?

It could be many things, such as category, word style, authors, etc. But what I’m focusing on here is not about just finding the “right” book. But knowing what you really want in reading.

You still can read books that you don’t want.

And I will show you how later.

Finding the “right” book

  • What do you often find if you search in Google?
  • What do you often like to consume on social media?
  • What do you often read whenever you see the news?

You might find one thing that really interests you. It could be self-improvement, business, or maybe fiction. It’s fine in whatever you choose.

But what is not fine is forcing yourself to read something you don’t like for a long period of time.

Reading should be enjoyable. And I don’t see what the benefit of reading as a chore is. But I understand that you might need to read the book.

Wanting to read vs. Needing to read

Wanting to read means you are choosing to read the book.

No one is forcing you. No one is pressuring you. No one asked you to read the book.

This is the high level of reading because you actually wanted to read rather than being forced to read.

On the other hand, needing to read is more of a chore.

You don’t want to, but you need to. And this mostly feels like doing something you don’t like.

It’s fine because not all the time we need to “want” to read.

But I will show you how to achieve the level of “wanting” to read every time.

How do I achieve the level of “wanting” to read?

You need to find the book you love.

And this is a crucial step because it builds up the joyful experience of reading. The more you do this, the more you will experience reading as something fun. At least for a couple of weeks at the beginning.

Now I’ve made 150 lists of book recommendations from these 5 categories:

  • Change Your Life,
  • Enhance productivity,
  • Improve Writing,
  • Fiction, and
  • Build Your Business

And it’s free.

From those lists, find which one you like. It could be the title is interesting, or maybe the author that you know, or maybe the idea of the book that hits you. All of those reasons, use it to start reading.

I Found The Right Book!

Now, if you found one, let’s start reading.

You can open the book and spend your time reading joyfully. It could be with your coffee in the morning, waiting for someone, or before going to bed. Many habits could be built from those joyful experiences.

Once you find it fun, reading habits would be easier to stick to.

Happy reading!
